Rain chances continue Friday into Saturday, which is now a WRAL Weather Alert Day. Clouds will stick around Friday and there's a chance for showers and storms with highs in the low 80s.

<p>I'm meteorologist, Elizabeth Gardner. We do have a level one and two risk per severe thunderstorms for tomorrow, but we'll likely have a round late this afternoon into this evening and another one on Sunday. So this is going to be a rather unsettled weekend, especially during the afternoon and evening. Let's talk about Saturday since we've got that up. You can see our southern counties have that level two risk for severe storms. So we're looking at the potential for a few isolated tornadoes in that area elsewhere. We could see some scattered wind damage as we get into the mid to late afternoon there on Saturday, we take a look at the big picture and it's that warm front. You can see all the thunderstorms that are near the warm front that's coming up out of the Gulf of Mexico that's going to lift North Road and that'll be our main focus for scattered strong to severe thunderstorms, especially during the day tomorrow. Some scattered rain out ahead of that is what we'll end up seeing today. And you can see some of that pushing into uh, central and western North Carolina as we head through the afternoon we take a look at futurecast and we'll pick it up right there at lunchtime and you can see a few of those isolated showers showing up. And then into the afternoon, 234 o'clock, some isolated thunderstorms not going to rain all afternoon in any particular spot. But there will be some pockets where we have some heavy rain and some blustery winds not likely to reach severe criteria in the early morning hours on Saturday morning. Notice there are six A ma few isolated showers and thunder storms starting to pull out around nine or 10. So there could be some early morning storms, but it looks like mid-morning through the middle of the afternoon. We should have a window of dry conditions. So that's good news for any of the festivals out there that gives you kind of a window to be out and about notice this version of future cash showing a little shower there in our eastern counties closer to lunchtime. And then we get into the late afternoon and evening and we see that potential for scattered storms as that front lifts across our area this afternoon. 82 in Raleigh, 81 Durham, 85 in Fayetteville. So it's likely to be a fairly warm day today. Our dew point keeps creeping up. So um, it's approaching steamy. We should see a nice little drop in that humidity by early next week, but it should feel pretty steamy to tropical the next couple of days be Bay Cultural Arts Festival on Saturday. There is a level one risk for severe storms over the Durham area or the festival is the later you wait in the day, the better chance that there'll be thunderstorms. So if you're going, I would try to go early, download your WRL app and you can set the alerts for severe thunderstorms or lightning or just rain coming into your area. So you got a lot of options there. Um, temperatures will be in the mid seventies and we're looking at 70 for the high on Sunday. After that, we dry out and warm up some next week.</p>
