SOME AREAS IN NEW HANOVER COUNTY ARE DEALING WITH FLOODING WRAL'S. MONICA CASEY JOINS US NOW LIVE FROM THE COAST. WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH. MONICA, I KNOW YOU JUST GOT THERE NOT TOO LONG AGO. WHAT ARE YOUR INITIAL IMPRESSIONS OF WHAT YOU'RE SAYING? &gt;&gt; AND JUST THE CONDITIONS REALLY GOT A LOT WORSE AS WE HEAD FURTHER EAST THROUGH THE STATE. WE SAW HEAVY WIND AND RAIN AND LIGHTNING ON THE HIGHWAYS WERE ACTUALLY IN A LITTLE BIT OF A LULL HERE ON WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH RIGHT NOW. IF YOU TAKE A LOOK OVER IN THIS DIRECTION, YOU CAN SEE BLUE SKY. IT LOOKS KIND OF NICE. BUT THIS IS REALLY DIFFERENT THAN WHAT IT WAS LIKE WHEN WE GOT HERE 10, 15 MINUTES AGO. THAT WAS RAINING. A LOT OF REALLY STRONG WINDS. I SPOKE WITH A FEW PEOPLE WHO TELL ME THE WAVES WERE ACTUALLY CRASHING UP AT THE BOTTOM OF JOHNNY MERCER'S HERE OVER AT THE END DOWN THERE. YOU CAN SEE A LITTLE BIT OF THAT ROUGH OCEAN HERE RIGHT NOW. SO WE'RE IN A LITTLE BIT OF A LOW, BUT IT WAS WORSE WHEN WE GOT HERE. IT'S STARTING TO GET DARKER OVER FURTHER NORTH OVER HERE AS WELL. SO WE HAVEN'T SEEN MUCH FLOODING OR PONDING ON THE ROADS IN THIS AREA IN WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH WHERE WE HAVE HEARD FROM A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT WE HAVE BEEN SPEAKING WITH OUT, GETTING SOME PHOTOS OF THE OCEAN THAT THEY'RE HEARING.
