A CITY OF RALEIGH JUST STARTED DOING THIS A FEW WEEKS AGO AFTER THE MOST RECENT DROWNING. >> IN AN EFFORT TO LIMIT THE AMOUNT OF VEHICLES THAT WERE COMING THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON. FIRST RESPONDERS GOT THAT CALL THAT 3 PEOPLE WERE STRANDED IN THE WATER. RALEIGH POLICE OFFICER JUMPED IN AND SAVED THE FIRST VICTIM THE NIGHT DALE SWIFT WATER RESCUE SAVED THE OTHER 2. THEY ARE IN GOOD CONDITION NOW. BUT THERE HAVE BEEN AT LEAST 4 DROWNINGS HERE SINCE MAY.
