Keep a jacket nearby as you head out the door on Friday. The morning will start off cool with high 40s to low 50s but will gradually warm up with lots of sunshine. 

Cooler, clearer weather for the 2nd day of the NC State Fair, rain possible later in the weekend

I'm meteorologist Elizabeth Gard, biggest story of the morning is the colder temperatures, upper 30s to low 40s. It's the coldest year that we've seen since last April. It'll feel good this afternoon though. Temperatures will climb into the upper 60s. The next 3 days at the state fair are all looking mostly good. Saturday is going to be gorgeous. It'll be warmer at 77 and then 78 on Sunday. We will see increasing clouds on Sunday and around dinner time, we'll likely have some showers that will continue on through the evening. So for Planning to head to the fair on Sunday, just know that by dinner time we may see some rain, but you'll have all day up until then. Go to be gorgeous on Saturday for the Georgia Tech game at Duke, uh, tailgating time. Temperatures will be in the mid-60s, but then climbing into the mid-70s toward the end of the game. Lots of sunshine. Take your sunscreen. Our next weather maker is still well to the west, crossing the middle of the country. It rolls in here late Sunday to bring us a chance of some showers, but it looks like that rain will probably be out of here by the commute on Monday morning. This is a look at Futurecast. There's 8 a.m. Sunday, some cloud cover at 2 o'clock. That rain is still well to our west, but by 6 or 7, around dinner time, we begin to see some scattered light rain, and really all of it's going to be light. Notice that it moves out of here by around 5 a.m. on Monday. The totals are going to be less than a quarter of an inch. Hopefully you enjoyed this beautiful weekend and get outside before we see that rain Sunday evening.
