Get ready for a chilly start to the weekend.

Chilly start to November, frost advisory for most Saturday morning

<p>Hello everyone. I'm meteorologist Mike Mays in the WRL Severe Weather Center with our forecast update for this Friday night. Hope you had a good Halloween. It's been a little chilly out there, colder overnight. We do have a frost advisory starting at 2 a.m. lasting through 9. All the counties in our viewing area are in that advisory. Lowes in some locations in the low to mid-30s. You'll want to protect those sensitive plants. Not everybody is going to be in the lower to mid-30s. We expect about 38 here. In Raleigh 37 in Goldsboro, but a whole lot of the area could see some light patchy frost. Now, as we start our Saturday morning, that frost advisory again goes through 9 a.m. We'll have plenty of sunshine as we start the day, 38 at 7 by 9 a.m. 41. By 110 a.m. we're up to about 55. and tomorrow should have similar temperatures to what we had today. Had 64 out at RDU, 67 in Fayetteville, about 65 here in the Triangle, 3. 456 o'clock, mostly sunny skies are expected. Now for the day tomorrow across the state, 52 at Boone to 65 in Raleigh, 65 at Wilmington should be a pretty nice day. Now, if you're heading to the Georgia Tech NC State game, we expect, uh, beautiful weather. It'll be rather chilly by the time we get to the end of the game, about 45. So if you're going to be sitting on the bleachers for a long period of time, you're definitely gonna need the warm clothes. Now, on Sunday, we're watching the next weather maker. It's an area of low pressure right now. It's over the southwest. It gets into the Gulf, starts to wind up, come up our way, bringing clouds Sunday. This is the time stamp for Sunday evening at 8 o'clock, 66, the high, 67, Fayetteville, you do see that rain in the area, and then for the day on Monday, some rain possible in the morning. Later in the afternoon, just an overcast, high temperatures will be in the low to mid-60s. So our forecast for the night tonight, frost is possible, low to mid-30s in some of our northern locations, 33 at Lewisburg and Rocky Mount, 33 at Roxboro, our southern counties, 36 at Irwin and Smithfield, 36 in Rayford. So watch out for some frost. Later in the afternoon. or highs in the mid to upper 60s. It'll be a beautiful day. Sunday we see increasing clouds later in the afternoon with perhaps a chance for rain into the evening. Make sure you tune in tomorrow morning with Chris Michaels, who'll have the latest Futurecast model, and of course Grant Skinner will have that tomorrow evening.
