<p>I meteorologist Chris Michaels in the Wral severe weather center today is a Wral weather alert day. Most storms that develop happen between about 4 p.m. and nine pm and damaging wind gusts would be the main thing we'd have to watch out for with some of these stronger storms that do develop level two risk out of five is in place according to noaa's storm prediction center. As we head toward midday, we're really pretty uneventful out there partly to mostly cloudy and uh, hot and humid temperatures in the eighties around midday. There you see around 4 p.m. Most isolated storms are near into the west of the triangle but starting to move toward the east between about 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. After that still may be a few stray showers and storms, but the severe weather threat will be over by then. I know a lot of us getting back into school heading into tomorrow so we could use a good night of sleep. Still gonna feel like summer as we go throughout the day today, high temperatures 89 to 92 with Raleigh Durham and Goldsboro at 90 degrees overnight. 65 to 69 with South Hill at 67. 1st thing tomorrow, still a very high rip current risk. Today, we had nearly 30 rescues along the southern coastline just yesterday and definitely don't want to repeat that statistic with tropical storm Ernesto farther offshore, low pressure that helps to bring us that storm chance. Today, it's gonna kick Ernesto away from us. Then the counterclockwise flow around it is going to bring back some really nice weather for the rest of the week. Humidity dropping and some cooler mornings, especially Wednesday through Friday. This is a look at Thursday morning boon at 52. Definitely going to be, uh, feeling like fall out in the high country. Rocky Mount Greensboro, Raleigh Fayetteville at 57 to 61 degrees. Even the afternoon is not bad guys still warm. High temperatures 80 to 83 degrees. We'll start to see the warmer air and the higher humidity making a comeback to the forecast as we head into next weekend.</p>
