Get ready for a hot and muggy Friday. We'll have highs in the mid to upper 90s and feels-like values up to 107. A heat advisory takes effect at 11 a.m.

Everyone. Happy Friday, meteorologist, Anthony Baglione here checking in with another hot and humid day for us across the area. We do have a heat advisory until eight o'clock this evening. For just about the. In fact, our entire area you can see with all of that orange showing up right there. Heat index values are what it feels like up to 100 and 10 here through the remainder of today. So if you're outside for any extended period of time, just make sure to keep that heat in mind. We've kind of been in this pattern before this summer. So I know, you know, the deal, but just keep it in mind. It's certainly something to reemphasize. Here's a look though at the hour by hour heat index for us. It really starts to crank up there early to late afternoon. And then this evening we could see a few light storms coming through. I don't think we'll see much coverage, but we're under a level one risk for a few strong to severe storms both today and as we get into tomorrow, the difference being, I think our coverage on Saturday would be greater. So let's take you through Futurecast here. You can see as we go forward in time, very limited coverage. We'll see a lot of sunshine maybe by this evening, let's say 567 o'clock or so, some of these could come in even eight o'clock this evening. There could be a few storms you notice though, it's not a lot of coverage tomorrow morning for any plans if you want to get some yard work done or just, you know, mowing the grass, for instance, tomorrow morning, you will be fine. Lunchtime, a stray shower, maybe a thunderstorm and then things really start to get more active tomorrow afternoon, let's say 345 o'clock or so, we could be looking at some damaging winds coming through if this model were to verify them with almost a line showing up there tomorrow afternoon. So of course, make sure to stay tuned to forecast here. I will be in tomorrow afternoon in the weather center. We will have it fully staffed all day long just in case it doesn't look like a huge severe threat. But I think it could be a little bit sneaky with how it's looking right now. 97 for us today. 91 tomorrow, we go to 85 on Sunday, scattered storm chances both Saturday, Sunday and then next week we're gonna watch for potential tropical moisture still too early to determine exactly where that potential system we could set up. But a lot to uh, focus on here in the next seven days for our forecast.
