Heat advisory issued Thursday with feels-like temps up to 107, severe storms possible later in the day

Hi, everyone. Meteorologist Anthony Baglione here tracking this heat advisory that we have outlined for us as we go through our Thursday. What we're looking at there in that orange shaded color contour we could see, feels like values up to about 100 and seven this afternoon. If you have to be outside all any extended period of time, just make sure to keep the heat in mind. We've seen many of these so far this summer, but this is yet another one that we have to deal with today. Another thing to keep in mind that we do have a chance for a few strong to severe storms. Uh, looking at the latest data. I really think this is probably overdone but we continue into tomorrow when that to me looks like the better chance for some storms coming on through. I'll show you futurecast here and again, I think this is doing a little bit more than what we're actually going to see. But we go through the, I mean, there you can see into the early part of the afternoon, a few storms. It tries to fill it back in, I think by this point we're still quiet at three o'clock. But then you get that general picture. By the time we get into this evening, an isolated storm is possible. We could see one or two that become strong and severe. I don't really see much coverage today. Uh It's just not looking all that impressive. We get to tomorrow morning, there's eight o'clock, you can see we start off with a mix of sun and clouds and then tomorrow afternoon that coverage is a little bit greater and I think that's doing a better job of showing what actually potentially will happen here on Futurecast. We check out though, the next seven days, temperatures go from 96 today. We drop into the low nineties this weekend, scattered storms though possible, both Saturday, Sunday and then through the majority of next week.
