Police said Victoria Adeniji was walking to work on the side of Benson Road near Forest Land Road to work, out of the roadway, when a car hit her. Emergency crews took Adeniji to Wake Med Raleigh for serious but non-life-threatening injuries, including a broken hip and several broken toes.
