AND LILLY, WHAT DO POLICE SAY LED UP TO THE STABBING? >> JULIAN WINDOW POLICE TELL US THIS STARTED AS A VERBAL ALTERCATION THAT GOT PHYSICAL. TAKE A LOOK AT THIS VIDEO THAT OUR WRAL BREAKING NEWS TRACKER CAPTURED ON THE GROUND ON BOXLEY DRIVE. ACCORDING TO THE WINDOW POLICE DEPARTMENT, THE VICTIM WAS APPROACHED BY 2 MALE SUSPECTS AND AFTER A BRIEF LOBER BALL TOOK HAITIAN, THE VICTIM WAS ASSAULTED WITH A SHARP OBJECT. THAT MAN WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL TO RECEIVE TREATMENT FOR SOME SERIOUS INJURIES. WRAL DID SPEAK TO A PERSON WHO LIVES IN THAT NEIGHBORHOOD AND HE SAYS IT'S A VERY QUIET COMMUNITY. SO NEIGHBORS WERE SHOCKED TO SEE THIS HAPPEN THIS EVENING. AS OF NOW, THAT VICTIM IS STILL IN THE HOSPITAL AND THIS IS STILL UNDER INVESTIGATION BUT HAVE REACHED OUT TO WINDOW POLICE WITH SOME MORE QUESTIONS ABOUT WHO THAT VICTIM IS.
