Global education company Kaplan announces that it has been Certifiedโข by Great Place To Workยฎ for the third consecutive year. The prestigious award is based entirely on what current Kaplan employees say about their experience working there. This year, 82 percent of Kaplan employees said itโs a great place to workโ25 points higher than the average U.S. company, according to Great Place To Work. The survey also found that 90 percent of Kaplan employees said they felt welcome when they joined the company.
Great Place To Workยฎ is the global authority on workplace culture, employee experience, and the leadership behaviors proven to deliver market-leading revenue, employee retention and increased innovation.
Sarah Lewis-Kulin, vice president of global recognition, Great Place To Work, said:
โGreat Place To Work Certification is a highly coveted achievement that requires consistent and intentional dedication to the overall employee experience. By successfully earning this recognition, it is evident that Kaplan stands out as one of the top companies to work for, providing a great workplace environment for its employees.โ
Gregory Marino, CEO, Kaplan North America, said:
โWeโre proud to be certified as a Great Place To Work for the third year in a row, an honor that reflects the voices and experiences of thousands of our employees. At Kaplan, our people are at the heart of everything we do. This recognition speaks to the culture weโve built together and our commitment to supporting one another. On behalf of our leadership team, thank you to our employees. You are what makes Kaplan what we are and we remain committed to being a place where you can grow, succeed, and build a meaningful career.โ
Marino notes that creating a sense of community, especially in a remote-first environment like Kaplan, involves innovative approaches:
- Kaplanโs AI Hackathon brings teams together to explore how artificial intelligence can improve learning experiences, streamline operations, and deliver greater value for students, partners, and clients. The initiative reflects Kaplanโs commitment to using technology thoughtfully to evolve how it serves learners. Additionally, Kaplan holds regular AI Learning Days, dedicated, hands-on learning experiences that provide training that is practical and immediately applicable to daily work.
- The companyโs internal, grassroots engagement team Kaplan 4 Kaplan (K4K) brings employees together through various virtual events, fostering connection and relationship building.
- Kaplanโs ambassador program pairs new hires with experienced employees who guide them through their first 90 days. With dozens of volunteer ambassadors, the program ensures new hires feel supported beyond their immediate team, offering insights into company culture. Running strong for three years, it has already empowered more than 250 new employees.
- Kaplan employees also take pride in its award-winning Develop U, the companyโs annual multi-week, fully online program for employees to learn, share, and network with colleagues across the organization.
- And Kaplanโs 8-week Emerging Leader program equips employees with the essential skills and knowledge to become future people managers.
