Addison Wood, the 2024 First Coast Home Pros Young Entrepreneur Scholarship winner, is wrapping up her first year at Purdue University as an Engineering major. She plans to focus on Civil Engineering with a concentration in Transportation and Infrastructure Systems, driven by a strong interest in how modern technologies like automated vehicles impact roads and traffic.
Beyond academics, Addison is actively involved in campus life, supporting Make-A-Wish through Chi Omega and raising funds for the Andrea Rizzo Foundation as part of Higher Ground Dance Company. A lifelong dancer and volunteer, she also helps with her family's business and enjoys working with kids through camps and babysitting.
Addison credits her parents as her biggest inspiration and hopes to follow in their entrepreneurial footsteps. She plans to intern during college, work in the engineering field after graduation, and eventually earn her MBA to start her own business.
