Skyward Specialty Adds Top Talent to Surety and E&S Divisions

Skyward Specialty Insurance Group, Inc. (“Skyward Specialty” or “Company”), a leader in the specialty Property and Casualty market, announced today that the Company has added new leaders to its Surety and Excess & Surplus (E&S) businesses.

Tim Brewer joins Skyward Specialty as Vice President of Commercial Surety. Brewer brings more than 16 years of specialized commercial surety experience comprised of transactional, middle-market and large account business. Most recently, Brewer was at Swiss Re Group for six years as Vice President of Commercial Surety. Brewer will head the southeast region of Commercial Surety for the Company.

Brewer is another addition to the Company’s already high-caliber Surety underwriting and leadership teams that have more than doubled in the last year following the acquisition of Aegis Surety in early 2021.

In E&S, the Company recruited Dan Kearney who will oversee the E&S General Liability team. Kearney comes to Skyward Specialty with an impressive 34 years of surplus lines experience, most recently as Vice President of Underwriting at IAT Insurance Group.
