Werner® Named Top Company for Women to Work in Transportation for Eighth Consecutive Year

Werner Enterprises, Inc. (Nasdaq: WERN), a premier transportation and logistics provider, is honored to be named among the 2025 “Top Companies for Women to Work in Transportation” by the Women in Trucking (WIT) Association’s Redefining the Road magazine. This marks the eighth consecutive year Werner has earned this distinction.

The award recognizes companies with corporate cultures that foster inclusion, offer competitive compensation and benefits, and provide flexible hours, professional development and career advancement opportunities. The final list was determined through an industry-wide vote that garnered more than 21,000 ballots.

"Receiving the 'Top Company for Women to Work in Transportation' recognition for the eighth year in a row highlights our commitment to championing women in our industry," said Werner's President and Chief Legal Officer, Nathan Meisgeier. "With 16% of our drivers now women, which is well above the national average, we are actively focused on fostering a safe and supportive environment where they can build long, successful careers across all roles—behind the wheel, in the shop or in the office."

Werner supports and advocates for the advancement of women across the transportation sector in many ways. Internally, the Women’s Leadership Alliance (WLA), established in 2011, fosters professional development, networking and mentorship among associates. Externally, Werner empowers industry outreach and representation through specialized teams like the Road Team Captains, Operation Freedom Drivers and Driver Ambassadors. This commitment to leadership extends to the highest levels, as exemplified by Jaime Hamm, Senior Vice President of Safety and Recruiting, who chairs the American Trucking Associations (ATA) Safety Policy Committee, shaping critical policies for industry safety and best practices.

The recognized companies were honored at the WIT Accelerate! Conference & Expo, held November 9–12 in Dallas. The complete list of winners can be found here. To learn more about career opportunities at Werner, visit www.werner.com.
