(NYSE: UBER) today announced a new collaboration leveraging Uber Direct, Uber’s white-label delivery service, to help florists nationwide fulfill more orders. The announcement comes just ahead of Valentine’s Day—one of the busiest floral holidays of the year.

Through this collaboration, the 1-800-Flowers.comⓇ network of local florists, BloomNet®, can seamlessly tap into Uber Direct’s extensive delivery technology and network to enable faster, more flexible deliveries, and meet demand during peak holiday surges and year-round.

For florists, managing delivery logistics for high-demand holidays like Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day presents a significant challenge. While many flower shops have year-round drivers and dedicated delivery vans, limited vehicle capacity often forces them to turn down orders during holiday rushes. By integrating Uber Direct, florists who are part of the 1-800-Flowers.com BloomNet network and using the BloomNet proprietary Business Management System (BMS) gain instant access to additional drivers, ensuring timely delivery of bouquets even during peak holiday rushes.

This collaboration is now live across the U.S. in over 1,000 BloomNet network shops. 1-800-Flowers.com accepts floral orders for same-day delivery through 3 pm local time in most parts of the country, and up to 6 pm local time in select markets.
