Veteran automotive and energy executive drives transformation and growth across the $200 million enterprise

Detroit, MI - November 14th, 2025 - The Chemico Group, one of North America’s largest minority-owned chemical management and distribution enterprises, proudly highlights the leadership of Mauricio Pincheira, Executive Head of its Automotive & Industrial Division. With more than 25 years of global experience in the automotive and energy sectors, Pincheira is steering the company through a new era of operational excellence, cross-border efficiency, and engineering-driven transformation.

Under his direction, Chemico’s Automotive and Industrial operations — encompassing over 800 employees across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico — have achieved measurable gains in performance, lean manufacturing, and sustainable growth. Mauricio Pincheira’s leadership philosophy blends engineering precision with business discipline, producing meaningful results across large-scale manufacturing and private equity environments.

Before joining Chemico, Mauricio Pincheira held senior leadership roles at General Motors, where he managed high-volume operations and strategic initiatives that drove enterprise-wide improvements. His subsequent tenure in the private equity sector saw him lead North American operations for a global battery manufacturer, overseeing M&A execution and transformation projects that expanded both market reach and profitability.

Beyond his corporate achievements, Mauricio Pincheira remains deeply committed to community advancement. He serves on the board of Just Cause, supporting reentry and workforce reintegration programs, and has championed STEM education for underrepresented youth throughout his career. His recognition includes the 2012 HACR Young Hispanic Corporate Achievers Award, and he has served as president of the SHPE Detroit Chapter and GM Latino Network.

“Operational excellence is not just about process efficiency — it’s about people, culture, and shared purpose,” said Pincheira. “At Chemico, we’re proving that when those elements align, transformation follows.”

Mauricio Pincheira holds a Master of Science in Manufacturing Management from Kettering University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. He is certified as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Project Management Professional (PMP).
