She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Michigan Technological University and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Originally from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, she now resides in Wisconsin with her husband, their two young children, and their dog, Loki. Brittany enjoys hiking, building sandcastles at the beach, and reading in her spare time. She was inspired to write Sammy Goes to the Doctor as a way to prepare her son for his first medical appointment. The character of Sammy is based on her beloved Labradoodle, who was her son’s best friend before passing away from cancer.
