Rokid, a pioneer in human-computer interaction and AR innovation, brought Times Square to a standstill this week with a surprise pop-up performance and billboard takeover, igniting anticipation for the upcoming launch of the world’s lightest full-function AI & AR smart glasses, Rokid Glasses, scheduled for August 26, 2025.
A Surprise Spectacle in the Heart of New York
In the center of Manhattan’s most iconic crossroads, a troupe of dancers drew crowds into a high-energy, interpretive routine symbolizing the fusion of human movement and technology. Through movement, the dancers dramatized the product’s core capabilities.
Performers mimed pressing the side button, triggering imagined photo and video capture. Another sequence brought to life multilingual translation, with performers exchanging phrases in different languages before syncing together in harmony. Gestural choreography demonstrated swipe-based control on the side panel and AI voice inputs, highlighting intuitive interaction between human and machine.
As the pop-up dance unfolded, a large crowd gathered in Times Square, many raising their phones to capture the moment in one of the busiest pedestrian zones on earth. Curious tourists, commuters, and passersby lingered as the performance synced with giant Rokid Glasses visuals on the Times Square billboards.
The performance highlighted Rokid’s creative product storytelling as a cultural moment, a countdown shared with the world from one of America’s most visible stages.

Rokid’s “Future in Sight” launch event will take place in New York City, where media, industry leaders, and partners will gather for the first in-depth look at Rokid Glasses. Attendees will experience the product’s real-time multilingual translation, AR navigation, AI productivity tools, transcription, and 12MP first-person camera, all delivered through the world’s lightest full-function AI+AR glasses, powered by the Qualcomm AR1 platform.
