Solana, Dogecoin and Layer Brett Among the Crypto Assets to Hold for 2025

With the crypto market heating up again, traders are scanning for assets that can deliver solid gains in 2025. Some are sticking with established names like Solana and Dogecoin, while others are turning to emerging projects like Layer Brett (LBRETT) that promise higher returns.

Together these three cryptocurrencies cover different sides of the market: one is a high-speed Layer 1, another is the original meme coin and the third is a presale token blending layer-2 technology with community hype.

Solana continues to impress

Solana (SOL) now trades around $220–$223, and it’s making strong moves in 2025. Its ability to process transactions quickly and cheaply makes it attractive for developers building DeFi apps, NFT platforms, and Web3 games. There’s also rising institutional interest, rumors of a Solana ETF, and growing interest from large funds, which are adding to its credibility.

Analysts believe that if Solana keeps growing its developer ecosystem and attracting capital, it could inch toward $350–$500 by the end of next year. It may not produce 100x returns, but for investors who want solid upside with proven tech and infrastructure, Solana looks like a frontrunner.

Dogecoin’s outlook in 2025

Dogecoin has managed to hold its ground as the most recognizable meme token in crypto. Its value today comes less from constant technical upgrades and more from the fact that it is still the first coin most people think of when the meme coin sector is mentioned. That cultural weight is difficult for rivals to match, and it continues to give DOGE strong visibility whenever market sentiment turns risk-on.

Looking into 2025, traders are watching to see whether the next bull run gives Dogecoin another breakout moment. It may not offer the same multiples as newer low-cap tokens, but its global recognition and deep liquidity make it a safer meme coin play for those who want exposure without taking on extreme risk. In that sense, it remains an anchor in the meme space, even as more speculative names draw headlines.

Why Layer Brett is turning heads

Layer Brett ($LBRETT) is shaping up as a strong challenger in the meme coin space, especially for those who want upside beyond what Solana or DOGE may offer. Built on Ethereum Layer 2, it combines fast, cheap transactions with meme-driven energy.

It’s already raised more than $3.9 million, with tokens priced at $0.0058. Early stakers are earning about 665% APY right now, though that rate will soften as more people join. Additional features like NFTs, gamified rewards, and a $1 million community giveaway are aiming to keep momentum alive after the presale. With only 10 billion tokens in total, the supply side supports the potential for big gains if demand builds.

Final thoughts

Solana, trading at over $220, offers strength in infrastructure, developer adoption, and potential ETF tailwinds. Dogecoin still owns meme coin culture, even if its price upside seems more muted. But Layer Brett looks like the coin that could deliver the kind of returns many missed out on in prior cycles, especially if it can hold pace with adoption and community engagement.

If I were building a portfolio for 2025, I’d seriously consider a mix: Solana for solid growth, Dogecoin for cultural and liquidity ballast, and Layer Brett for the moonshot plays.
