The China-ASEAN AI + Cultural Tourism Innovation Application Competition Finals Open in Beihai

-- On September 15, in Beihai, Guangxi, the finals of the China-ASEAN AI + Cultural Tourism Innovation Application Competition officially commenced. After two months of intense competition, 50 innovative teams emerged from 506 registered projects to showcase their ideas during the finals. As the executor of the event, Enowa Network Technology under Ennova actively participated in the organization and ecological co-building of the competition, fully promoting the transition of "AI + Cultural Tourism" innovation projects from concept to implementation.

The competition is jointly organized by the Beihai Municipal People's Government, the Department of Culture and Tourism and Big Data Development Bureau of Guangxi, and the Guangxi International Expo Affairs Bureau, with Enowa Network Technology under Ennova as the executor. During the opening ceremony, Li Li, Deputy Secretary of the Beihai Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, announced the start of the competition finals, and Academician Tan Jianrong from the Chinese Academy of Engineering delivered a keynote speech on AI empowering the cultural tourism industry. Numerous government leaders, industry experts, ASEAN representatives, and heads of investment institutions attended to witness the grand event.

Huang Yaolin, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangxi, noted that artificial intelligence is reshaping the ecology of the cultural tourism industry globally. As ASEAN is a key area for Guangxi's opening-up and cooperation, such competitions not only validate existing achievements but also open new avenues for collaboration. He encouraged the participating teams to innovate and leverage technology to deliver results in Guangxi, creating value for China and ASEAN.

Li Xiaofei, Chairwoman of Ennova, stated that this competition is not only a brilliant move for Beihai to embrace the intelligent era and explore new avenues in cultural tourism but also a significant opportunity for Ennova to deeply engage in the construction of the "AI + Cultural Tourism" industrial ecosystem and realize the vision of a "Smart Maritime Silk Road". Since its launch, the competition has garnered widespread attention and robust support from governments at all levels, ASEAN institutions, and various sectors of society, establishing deep connections between Ennova and top AI teams, academic hubs, and industry leaders both domestically and internationally. In the future, Ennova and its subsidiary Enowa Network Technology will continue to uphold the principles of "openness, cooperation, and innovation", injecting vibrant AI power into the high-quality development of the cultural tourism industry.

Academician Tan Jianrong from the Chinese Academy of Engineering delivered a keynote speech on AI empowering the cultural tourism industry. He pointed out that the cultural tourism sector is currently transitioning from rapid growth to high-quality development, which requires breakthroughs in talent, management, and technology. This transformation relies on the collaboration of three parties: government promotion, expert guidance, and enterprise implementation. He hopes that Beihai will leverage this competition to incubate and launch a series of high-quality smart tourism products that precisely match the increasingly diverse consumer demands of tourists.

On the day before the finals, participating teams visited the Hepu Han Dynasty Cultural Museum, Beihai Economic and Technological Development Zone, the Old Town Scenic Area, and the Smart Cultural Tourism City Reception Hall. They experienced firsthand the potential of integrating AI technology with cultural tourism, which provided real-world scenarios to inform subsequent product development and business collaboration.

The finals feature three main tracks: Technical Innovation, Application Innovation, and ASEAN. A total of 50 teams showcased their projects across two venues. The judging panel comprises senior experts from academia, enterprises, industry institutions, and the investment community, who evaluate submissions from multiple dimensions, including technical capability, application prospects, and business models, ensuring the competition is professional, fair, and closely aligned with market needs.

The final awards were announced at the award ceremony on September 16. Additionally, Enowa will showcase outstanding innovative results from the competition at the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo, highlighting the innovative applications and commercial potential of "AI + Cultural Tourism" and actively exploring new opportunities for international cooperation.
