USA Drug Rehab Expands Blue Cross Blue Shield, Select Health and GEHA Coverage

Utah Trauma & Addiction Centers (801 766 2233) has updated their insurance coverage options for first responder clients in their residential care program.

-- Recently updated insurance plan coverage at Utah Trauma & Addiction Centers includes acceptance of Select Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and GEHA insurance for substance abuse treatment of first responders.

With a recognition of how stressful and difficult work can be for first responders on a regular basis, the expanded insurance options are part of the center’s emphasis on providing personalized, trauma-informed care through their residential programs.

A recent report from the Institutes of Health shows that more than 80% of first responders experience traumatic events during the course of their jobs, and this can lead to post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, and substance addiction. To help ensure that first responders get the professional care they need, the team at Utah Trauma & Addiction Centers provides expert attention through accessible programs.

“Utah Trauma & Addiction Centers has a long history of supporting and treating U.S. veterans and military responders,” says a spokesperson. “We value working with these individuals and consider it an honor to work with them.”

While striving to make programs more available through expanded acceptance of various insurance carriers, the center also contracts with Operation Underground Railroad (O.U.R.) along with other agencies to ensure that the needs of these unsung heroes are met.

First responder populations that are served through the residential trauma-informed care programs include active military and retired veterans, among whom PTSD cases have risen around 50%, with a nationwide suicide rate of around 25 per day, explains the center.

Care is also available for law enforcement personnel - who are also facing an epidemic of suicide - as well as correctional officers, 911 dispatchers, and emergency medical services (EMS) workers, all of whom are statistically at a higher risk of PTSD in comparison with the general population.

Residential programs at Utah Trauma & Addiction Centers include personalized care, group work, recreational therapy, outdoor experiences, community self-help meetings, weekly psycho-educational meetings, family therapy, and modalities like EMDR, Bio Sound and Neurofeedback.
