Froelick Gallery is proud to present Garden Party, recent paintings by Holly Osborne. Osborne is a modern painter who responds to life by painting both representational and abstract compositions. She is known for her complex and beautiful color combinations.

About this series Osborne writes,  “Garden party is a celebration of the beauty in nature around us. Much of the work is from direct observation from various places that I’ve been this past year- walks in my local Portland neighborhood, a distant Sicilian residency, a trip to France. Some paintings in this collection represent dreams as well as what appears on canvas without looking at anything, what’s called automatic drawing.In this style- the more “abstract” works, I usually paint until a figure shows itself and then I am satisfied with it.”

Born and raised in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, Osborne earned a Master’s of Art Education from Portland State University (PSU) in 2018 and a Bachelor’s of Science from PSU in 2014. Since graduating, Osborne has been featured in multiple solo shows every year, including recent 2025 exhibitions at Lobster Club, Los Angeles, CA and Kamp Grizzly, Portland, OR & Brooklyn, NY. Garden Party is Holly Osborne’s third solo exhibition with Froelick Gallery.
