Duro Welcomes Rob Markevics as Vice President of Sales

By: WebWire

Duro, the leading enterprise cloud-native PLM for managing hardware product data, today announced the appointment of Rob Markevics as Vice President of Sales. Markevics will be responsible for leading Duro's growing sales team, developing new business opportunities, and overseeing the company's sales strategy and execution.

Markevics brings over 25 years of sales and leadership experience in managing enterprise business development, design, programming, deployment, and support initiatives related to software products and services with specialization in discrete manufacturing verticals. The new Vice President of Sales notably spent 13 years at Siemens where he built the sales team and defined sales and pre-sales processes as well as customer engagement models for Siemens' PLM product portfolio.

“As Duro continues to grow by every measure, we are beyond excited to add seasoned leaders like Rob whose deep knowledge and experience in PLM, engineering, sales, and manufacturing will accelerate our success,” said Michael Corr, CEO of Duro.

Before joining Duro, Markevics was the Director of Enterprise Software Sales at Tulip, a no-code manufacturing software company, where he oversaw growth of business and all aspects of business operations. Markevics has also held several senior leadership positions at various companies within the manufacturing industry including OptimalPlus (acquired by National Instruments), VIA Information Tools, and INTEC Group.

“I am honored to join the Duro team. Duro's software solution, which was developed by two co-founders who have extensively worked with legacy PLM products, offers automations and efficiencies in a cost-effective cloud environment that the legacy PLM products cannot deliver on. As a result, Duro is better suited to address current and future industry challenges such as decrease in time to market, reduction in engineering effort, improvements in quality and leveraging synergies between design and manufacturing. Duro is perfectly positioned to help fuel these changes and enable hardware companies to successfully implement agile hardware development practices,” said Rob Markevics, Vice President of Sales at Duro.
