Media Advisory: Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas and First Security Bank Award $30K to Conway Ministry Center

Join representatives from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) and First Security Bank as they award $30,000 in grants to the Conway Ministry Center in Conway, Arkansas. The grant will be used to cover a portion of the salary of a shelter manager for The Refuge – Arkansas’ first emergency housing program for families with children and people with disabilities or medical needs. The Refuge will provide emergency housing with wraparound case management services, life skills classes, medical and behavioral healthcare, child tutoring and job placement.

The funds are part of $1.2 million in Partnership Grant Program (PGP) funds FHLB Dallas and member institutions awarded in 2024. FHLB Dallas members provide $500 to $5,000 to a nonprofit, which FHLB Dallas matches at a 5:1 ratio to provide up to $25,000 in additional funds. The awards help promote and strengthen relationships between community-based nonprofits and FHLB Dallas members. In 2024, more than $1.2 million in funding was awarded to 47 community-based organizations via 41 member institutions.
