BitX-Ethiopia MoU Signals Major Step Toward Decentralized Bitcoin Mining in Africa

Singapore — May 2025 — BitX, a global leader in AI-powered Bitcoin mining optimization, has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ethiopia Mining Farm, setting in motion a transformative partnership that aims to bring Web3.0 mining infrastructure to East Africa.

The collaboration will see the deployment of BitX’s flagship Bit-X V2 Accelerator across Ethiopia’s mining operations. This AI-powered solution dramatically improves SHA-256 hash efficiency by up to 100%—without requiring hardware replacement. By optimizing nonce search paths and minimizing invalid computations, BitX enables higher Bitcoin output using the same power footprint, unlocking new opportunities for sustainable and inclusive mining participation.

“Our partnership with Ethiopia Mining Farm represents more than a regional expansion,” said Brian Ashe, CEO of BitX. “It’s a step toward reshaping global mining economics—empowering regions like East Africa to actively participate in the Bitcoin economy through smart infrastructure and decentralized access.”

The Ethiopia Mining Farm will initially integrate the V2 Accelerator across more than 12,000 ASIC miners, forming a key node in BitX’s growing Web3.0 Mining Ecosystem. This system connects independent mining sites across continents through real-time data coordination, AI performance tuning, and a shared value model.

Through BitX’s Shared Accelerator Program, users worldwide will also have the opportunity to co-own acceleration power in the Ethiopia facility, starting from $100, earning proportional Bitcoin rewards. This aligns with BitX’s vision of democratizing access to mining, breaking down the barriers of geography, capital, and hardware limitations.

A spokesperson for Ethiopia Mining Farm remarked:

“This partnership opens the door for Ethiopia to lead Africa’s entry into the next generation of Bitcoin mining. With BitX’s proven technology and global strategy, we are excited to elevate our operations and contribute to the global decentralized infrastructure.”

BitX has already established MoUs with major mining farms in KazakhstanKyrgyzstan, and Canada, and this Ethiopia agreement further strengthens its mission to build a global, sustainable, and inclusive mining network for the Web3.0 era.

As BitX continues to bridge AI and blockchain technologies, it is positioning itself at the forefront of the smart mining revolution—where efficiency, accessibility, and decentralization drive the future of Bitcoin production.
