Brinker Capital Enhances Sales and Distribution Leadership

Brinker Capital, a leading investment management firm, today announced the appointments of: Ed Kelly to Executive VP of National Sales; John Solomon to Executive VP, Wealth Advisory; Roddy Marino to Executive VP of National Accounts and Distribution; Michael McAleer to Retirement Plan Services National Sales Manager; and Mike Cole to Regional Director.

Achieving promotions within the Brinker Capital sales and distribution teams are Ed Kelly and John Solomon.

Ed Kelly has been promoted from National Sales Manager to Executive VP of National Sales. He now has responsibility for the national sales team, internal sales desk, and Retirement Plan Services group. Ed will continue to serve on the Brinker Capital Distribution, Operating and Management Committees. Since joining Brinker Capital in June of 2012, Ed has led the firm’s sales efforts and served the company’s financial advisor partners. He holds FINRA series 7, 63, and 66 licenses and is a graduate of Villanova University.

John Solomon has been promoted from Regional Director to Executive VP of Wealth Advisory. In his new role, John will lead the team responsible for the growth of the Brinker Capital Wealth Advisory business. Throughout his 21 year career, John has been committed to helping advisors build profitable businesses with a focus on helping clients meet their goals. Since joining Brinker Capital in June of 2007, John has played an integral role in Brinker Capital’s success through his proven efforts in the southeast region of the United States. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, attended The Wharton School of Business Executive Education program and is FINRA series 7 and 66 licensed.

Joining the Brinker Capital sales and distribution teams are Roddy Marino, Michael McAleer and Mike Cole.

Roddy Marino, Executive VP of National Accounts and Distribution

Roddy comes to Brinker Capital with over 20 years of sales experience and an extensive background of building successful distribution channels. Roddy will interface with all departments to ensure that the firm is properly positioned with the firm’s strategic business partners to drive the success of the sales team. Prior to joining Brinker Capital, Roddy most recently served as the Managing Director, Head of Advisory Sales for Allianz Global Investors. He also held positions at Chartwell Investment Partners, Turner Investment Partners, and Rittenhouse Financial Services. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia, attended the Harvard Business School Executive Education Sales Leadership program, holds the CIMA designation and is also FINRA Series 7, 24, 63 and 65 licensed.

Michael McAleer, Retirement Plan Services National Sales Manager

Michael brings a decade of sales and retirement experience to Brinker Capital, most recently serving as Vice President and Northeast Sales Manager of Retirement Business Services at Charles Schwab. As Retirement Plan Services National Sales Manager reporting to Ed Kelly, he will lead the sales efforts of the Retirement Plan Services group through the development of long-term business strategies to increase sales, as well as work with the National Accounts staff and product team. Michael worked at Clark Capital Management Group, Avatar Associates and Lincoln Financial Group. He is a graduate of Penn State University.

Mike Cole, Regional Director

Mike is an experienced sales professional who brings many years of experience and leadership. As Regional Director reporting to Ed Kelly, Mike will lead sales efforts in the southeast territory, which includes North and South Carolina, Tennessee and portions of Georgia. Prior to joining Brinker Capital, Mike worked at Curian Capital as the Senior Regional Business Consultant for North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia, where he managed the top sales territory and built relationships with advisors in the RIA, independent and bank channels. In addition, he worked for MetLife, Phoenix Life and Security Financial Life. Mike is a graduate of the University of Rochester, is a Certified Financial Planner, a Certified Fund Specialist and is Series 7, 65 and 63 licensed.
