Temperatures and humidity levels creep up slightly this weekend, but it will still be comfortable. 



Comfortably warm afternoons continue for first weekend of October

<p>Meteorologist Grant Scanner here in the Weather Center, thanks to high pressure staying in place for the rest of this weekend, and to start next week, it should be beautiful out there, with just some extra high clouds into Sunday. And we'll see a slight warming trend highs in the low 80s, but then our next front arrives by the middle of the week, throwing a better chance for showers and brief storms, and finally cooler to end next week. So, this evening, staying pretty comfortable, mid-60s by 9 o'clock, low 60s by 11 p.m. By tomorrow morning around 50 degrees in our northern spots, but then closer to the mid to upper 50s, towards the triangle 61 in Fayetteville, 58 in Southern Pines to start the day on Sunday. Through the rest of this evening and overnight tonight, we'll see some mid and upper level clouds move in thanks to a shift in our upper level pattern, and upper level ridge is moving in. So, again, mainly just high clouds throughout the day on Sunday, but overall staying dry, Fu catchers are bringing some brief showers, but we should stay mostly dry throughout the day on Sunday and also into Monday. High Tomorrow will be a touch warmer at around 80 degrees by the afternoon. 80 in Raleigh, 82 Fayetteville, 78 in South Hill. Our next front arrives midweek, a cold front arrives Wednesday, a better chance for showers and some brief storms, then more fall air arrives behind that front. We could see anywhere from a quarter of an inch to 0.5 inch of rain, which is Much needed, it's not gonna be enough to beat these these drought conditions, but still, it will help out. There's actually uh moderate drought conditions for much of the eastern and southeastern portion of our area. So, finally some rain by the middle of next week, after a warming trend through the first half of the week, temperatures into the mid to upper 60s overnight, low to mid 80s through Tuesday, then finally back to the 70s to end next week, with drier conditions.</p>
