Frost advisory issued for Saturday morning in central NC, rain expected next week

Happy Friday. I'm WRAL meteorologist Kat Campbell. A great fall weekend ahead, a nice crisp Saturday. 66 degrees, partly cloudy and dry by Sunday will be mostly cloudy, 66 still, but still crisp outside. A frost advisory is in effect overnight from 3 to 9 a.m. Saturday morning. This includes the triangle points west to the Sandhills, Chatham County, and areas to the north, including. and this is due to the threat for temperatures to fall as low as the low to mid 30s. This is mainly going to be in the more rural communities and less so in the urban areas. Frost would be scattered and it would be light if you do see it. Let us know. Go to WREL.com and search report it and send us your pictures. 38 in Durham tonight, 33 in Roxboro, 35 Rocky Mount Lewisburg and Siler City, 36 in Wilson. 39 for. 37 in Goldsboro Smithfield as well as Southern Pines. It could drop down to 33 though in Sanford. Rain finally returns to the forecast next week. During the day Monday, it may end up being light and patchy. That's the trend that I've seen on the models today with a slight uptick during the evening, the better chance for rain starting to ramp up Monday night into perhaps Tuesday morning, and this could be the first of a couple of waves of rain on the way next week.
