It's beginning to look a lot like... fall! While we will have plenty of sun for most of the weekend and dry days will dominate, temperatures will struggle to make it out of the 60s.

Chilly but sunny weekend ahead of much-needed rain to come early next week

<p>I'm meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner. A beautiful weekend to get outside and enjoy whether you're going to a football game, the NC State Fair, or the farmers' Market, the pumpkin patch. We take a look at starting though at the Carolina game. Uh, Virginia plays at home. Temperatures this morning, even up through lunchtime, are still going to be in the mid to upper 50s, so it'll feel chilly but sunny and nice, and temperatures this afternoon climbing up into the mid-60s. Nice. Dry all the way through the State Fair around town today, mid-60s in Raleigh and Durham, and upper 60s in Fayetteville. And take a look at our rain chances. We don't see rain until very early Monday morning, late Sunday night. I don't think we'll see rain before the fireworks go off for Sunday night at the state fair. Monday during the day, the rain may be fairly light and patchy, but it continues to increase as we get into Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. And we should see some decent amounts, probably 1 to 2 inches, and we desperately need the rain. Fortunately, by the time we get to Friday for Halloween, we're back to sunny skies, 65 for the high and trick or treat temperatures in the mid to upper 50s. Hopefully that forecast will hold. Nobody wants to be trick or treating out in the rain. Some devastating conditions possible down in the Caribbean this weekend and early next week. Make sure you check out our tropical update.</p>

NBA Youngboy was performing at the Lenovo Center, with many fans lining up to enter the arena. Sky 5 flew over west Raleigh Friday night as people made their way to the venue and the fairgrounds, which caused traffic backups in some areas.
