Plunging temperatures caused roads to freeze overnight and crashes multiplied Thursday morning. Most of central North Carolina saw another burst of snow, complicating things for many drivers.

AND THAT WAS ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS I WAS GOING TO SAY TO YOU ALL IS REALLY THE LAST 10 OR SO MINUTES. THE SNOWFALL IS PICKED BACK UP HERE AND IT'S STICKING AND YOU CAN DEFINITELY TELL THESE ROADS, THOUGH, A COMPLETE SHEET OF ICE. AND AS YOU MENTIONED, RUN MITCHELLVILLE ROAD, WHICH IS HALFWAY IN BETWEEN KNIGHTDALE AND ROLESVILLE. THAT'S WHERE WE ARE AND THESE BACK ROADS. THESE HILLS ARE BECOMING A MAJOR PROBLEM. WHEN WE SHOWED UP, THERE IS ABOUT 4 CARS ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD HERE WHO ARE STUCK AND AS WE WERE HERE, ANOTHER 3 CARS GOT STUCK. BUT AS YOU CAN TELL BY WHERE I'M STANDING THIS RIGHT HERE IS REMNANTS OF A GOOD SAMARITAN WHO HAPPEN TO COME BY IN A TRUCK WITH. KITTY LITTER AND WAS ABLE TO GET ALL OF THOSE FOLKS OUT. SO IF YOU HAVE SOME KITTY LITTER OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT AND YOU DO NEED TO BE HAVING THESE ROADS, IT'S A GOOD IDEA TO BRING IT WITH YOU BECAUSE HE DEFINITELY GOT EVERY SINGLE PERSON OUT HERE AWAY AND WE'RE STILL SEEING MORE PEOPLE COME DOWN THESE ROADS AS WELL. SO IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE OUT HERE, DON'T BE OUT HERE. IT'S NOT PLEASANT. IT'S VERY SLICK. AND ANOTHER REMINDER, WE'VE ALMOST FOLLOWED A COUPLE TIMES JUST WALKING.
