A TRADITION FOR HER FAMILY TO WATCH YEAR AFTER YEAR. BUT ON NOVEMBER 19TH 2022. LITTLE HAYLEE WAS RUN OVER BY THIS OUT OF CONTROL TRUCK DRIVEN BY 20 YEAR-OLD LANDEN GLASS. THIS NEW AMENDED LAWSUIT AGAINST THE CITY OF RALEIGH. AND IT'S 2 EMPLOYEES STATES HAYLEY'S DEATH WAS COMPLETELY AVOIDABLE. THE LAWSUIT ALLEGES THE CITY EVENTS, EMPLOYEES WHITNEY, SEAN FIELD, KIRK ARCHER AND THE GREATER RALEIGH MERCHANTS ASSOCIATION DID NOT IDENTIFY AN OBVIOUS HAZARD. THEY DID NOT IDENTIFY CROWD MANAGERS ARE PLANNED FOR THE ROLE OF THEM. THEY FAILED TO CONDUCT A HAZARD ANALYSIS FOR THE PARADE FAILED TO INSPECT VEHICLES USED IN THE PARADE AND DID NOT REQUEST INFORMATION FROM LANDON GLASS ABOUT HIS DRIVING HISTORY OR TRAINING THE LAWSUIT ALSO ALLEGES THAT THE CITY EMPLOYEES OBSERVED LANDEN GLASS WEAVING AND ACCELERATING HIS TRUCK INTO THE PARADE LINEUP CHASING AFTER THE OTHER FLOATS WHILE THE CHILDREN WERE TOLD TO ABANDON THEIR DANCE ROUTINES AND RUN AFTER THE FIRST FLOAT. THE LAWSUIT SAYS THE CITY ALLOWED THIS CHAOS TO OCCUR AND DID NOT STOP THE TRUCK. THE PARADE OR TAKE ANY STEPS TO BRING ORDER TO THE CHAOS. &gt;&gt; AND WE ASKED THE CITY ABOUT THIS LAWSUIT. THEY MENTIONED THAT THEY DON'T COMMENT ON PENDING LITIGATION. WE SHOULD MENTION THAT LAST YEAR RALEIGH'S CHRISTMAS PARADE IN SAINT PATRICK'S DAY PARADE WAS HELD WITHOUT ANY MOTORIZED VEHICLES. AND THEY HAVE ALSO ADOPTED NEW SAFETY PLANS THAT ALLOW FOR AGE REQUIREMENT AND SAFETY INSPECTIONS OF THOSE PARTICIPATING LIVE IN DOWNTOWN</p>
