Fayetteville police say that two young women were racing when one crashed, causing the deaths of three young men in her car. Trevor Merritt, Jai'Hyon Elliott and Nick Williams died Oct. 8.

AND WITH THESE NEW CHARGES WE'VE LEARNED ABOUT THIS AFTERNOON, IT APPEARS AS THOUGH THIS MAY HAVE BEEN A CASE OF STREET RACING, THE DRIVER OF THAT VEHICLE DYMOND MONROE IS NOW CHARGED WITH SEVERAL COUNTS, INCLUDING 3 COUNTS OF INVOLUNTARY MANSLAUGHTER. SPEED COMPETITION, SPEEDING AND CARELESS AND RECKLESS DRIVING. SHE STILL IS IN THE HOSPITAL. AND RIGHT NOW THE FAYETTEVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT IS GOING TO BE WORKING WITH HER MEDICAL TEAM TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO PROCEED FROM HERE. IN THEIR INVESTIGATION.
