Keysight Solutions Enable MediaTek to Validate 5G Devices Equipped with MIMO Antenna Technology in Over-the-Air Test Environment

Advanced 5G channel emulations solutions accelerate radio frequency (RF) performance verification

Keysight Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: KEYS), a leading technology company that delivers advanced design and validation solutions to help accelerate innovation to connect and secure the world, announced that MediaTek has selected the company’s integrated 5G new radio (NR) device test solutions to validate the radio frequency (RF) performance of 5G devices equipped with multiple input, multiple output (MIMO) and Massive MIMO antenna technologies in an over-the-air (OTA) laboratory-based test environment.

Keysight’s 5G NR device test solutions enable MediaTek to design, develop and validate 5G modem platforms that are used to establish reliable, high-performance connectivity in wireless devices capable of transmitting high data rate speeds. Device makers use MediaTek’s advanced 5G modem technologies in products designed for smartphones, personal computers (PCs), routers, mobile hotspots and fixed wireless access (FWA).

The toolset also addresses carrier acceptance test (CAT) plans mandated by major mobile operators.
