The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall on May 1, 2025, citing a defect that allows the pressure-cooking lid to be opened during use, leading to hot contents escaping and posing a significant burn hazard.
To date, SharkNinja has received 106 reports of burn injuries, including more than 50 cases of second- and third-degree burns to the face and body. Additionally, 26 lawsuits have been filed in connection with these incidents.

- Sold At: Major retailers, including Walmart, Costco, Sam’s Club, Amazon, and Target, from January 2019 through March 2025.
