Mentor, motivational speaker, and survivor Cemel Garcia will unveil his powerful life story in the new book Unleash Your Greatness: The Power Of Perseverance, launching live on October 5, 2025, at Les Brown’s exclusive event in Orlando, Florida, before an audience of approximately 600 attendees.
In his soul-stirring chapter “Equipped to Never Quit,” Cemel takes readers into the heart of his greatest battles childhood trauma, molestation, drug addiction, suicidal ideation, and emotional collapse. Through radical honesty and raw storytelling, he reveals how his darkest moments became the very tools that shaped his strength.

Born into poverty and raised in a neighborhood riddled with violence and addiction, Cemel experienced pain from an early age. After surviving abuse at age 7, he turned to drugs and alcohol in an attempt to numb the trauma. By 18, he was using heroin and planning to end his life.
Everything changed when, during a mental health crisis, a stranger read Psalm 91 to him. That night, he prayed for the first time and made a promise to God and to himself: to live, to heal, and to help others do the same.
Since March 3, 2020, Cemel has remained sober and committed to inspiring others. His chapter guides readers through forgiveness, visualization, healing, and identity rebuilding. Today, he mentors young people, speaks publicly, and teaches others how to rise from the ashes of their past.
