Lauren Davis, DO and Craig Wells, DO team up to open an osteopathic and functional medicine practice at the Jersey Shore. A South Jersey native, Lauren Davis returns to bring an integrated approach to women’s health care that addresses the cause of disease instead of just the symptoms.
Functional medicine is a holistic medical approach that uses functional analysis to examine the patient’s health from an entire systems perspective. It examines the complex interrelationships between the body’s many parts, in order to discover the underlying cause of disease. This approach allows for the patient and physician to partner in creating an approach that will eliminate the cause of their symptoms, restoring health in the process.
Through their center in Northfield, the pair offer a variety of holistic and integrative approaches including advanced laboratory analysis of blood, stool, hair and urine to assess a patient’s health. They combine this with a hands on analysis using osteopathic manipulation to ascertain both the anatomical and physiological state of health.
Using these advanced biomarkers and remote patient monitoring (RPM) allow for continuous, precise care that is data driven to streamline care, track progress, and improve patient outcomes. In fact, remote patient monitoring has been shown to improve self management of conditions, adherence and engagement with care, improve patient experience and satisfaction and improve the clinician-patient relationship.

Dr. Davis is a dually board certified physician specializing in family medicine and osteopathic neuromuscular medicine. She is trained through the Institute for Functional Medicine and the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine. She is currently accepting new patients at Tides of Change Wellness Collaborative. She was voted an area Top Doctor in 2020 and 2021.
