Nathan’s early career in real estate saw him leading DN International, a firm that handled major projects for clients such as the U.S. Embassy, UNICEF, and Coca-Cola. However, economic and regulatory challenges led to financial difficulties, forcing him to pivot.
Rather than viewing failure as an end, Nathan saw it as an opportunity. He identified a gap in Kenya’s avocado industry, where local farmers lacked access to international markets. Avoveg Health Kenya Ltd was born, and today, it is one of Kenya’s top 10 avocado exporters, supplying European and Middle Eastern markets.
“We’re not just exporting avocados,” Nathan explains. “We’re creating jobs, opening markets for farmers, and ensuring they get fair prices. Business should always be about more than just profit—it should create lasting impact.”
Faith as a Business Principle
For Nathan, faith is not just a personal belief—it’s a core part of how he runs his businesses. He believes that biblical principles of honesty, integrity, and service create strong foundations for long-term success.
“Faith is my anchor,” he says. “Business is full of uncertainties, but I trust that God is guiding me. That trust keeps me focused on my mission rather than worrying about the unknown.”
Nathan follows a faith-driven leadership approach, making decisions based on ethical values and long-term impact rather than short-term gains. His book, My Successful Failures, highlights how faith and perseverance have shaped his business journey.
Expanding into Global Consulting
With decades of experience navigating international markets, Nathan recently launched Loyd Global Consulting, a firm that helps businesses scale beyond their local markets. His consulting services focus on business strategy, global expansion, and risk management.
“Many entrepreneurs have great ideas but struggle with scaling globally,” says Nathan. “They need a roadmap, and that’s where I come in—helping them break into international markets and build sustainable growth strategies.”
