Since 1975, SSP has built strong connections and resilience among communities by equipping volunteers in home repair skills and community-based projects. Programs include:
- Sacramento Sustainability Academy, a workforce development program providing young people an introduction to climate action, vocational skills, and community resilience work.
- Rancho Cordova volunteer Days of Service, focusing on home accessibility projects for residents.
- North Sacramento Free Tool Library and free workshops
- Summer Weeks of Service to complete necessary home repairs and community projects for underserved residents, while developing both hands-on and socio-emotional skills in young people. This program promotes thriving, collaborative communities and support individuals safely aging in place.
